I am a 24 year old male with Spina Bifida and am with a very loving woman, whom is a paraplegic. We have?

talked about at some point having a baby together. My question is...because I have Spina Bifida would our future child be born with Spina Bifida? I dont know but I may be being much harder on myself but I would feel like it was my fault if our child was born with Spina Bifida. I dont think my gf would hold it against me but it is something that she has asked me and I told her that for all I knew Spina Bifida was hereditary/genetic. I have read both that its genetic/hereditary and that it isn't but there's a higher risk of it coming into play with a parent who already has Spina Bifida. I would appreciate any advice and/or guidance regarding this.
