Tips on pleasuring my girl?

I'm a guy and I'm new with all these related things. I've only ever fingered one person and that's my current girlfriend and I've only done it once. She said it was good for being my first time but not very good if i was somebody with experience. It was more like an exploration stage because I didnt know what felt good to her or if I was doing it right. I was basically doing the come hither motion while pulling my fingers out very slightly.
