Does the security of a society outweigh the personal freedom of individuals?

I am in a debate cl ant this is my proposition, I am on the affirmative (positive) side. I have to prove that the security of a nation DOES outweigh personal freedom. I need accurate resource to help me prove my case and win win the debate. i have done research and found some Information just not enough to prove my cse.
