Random Connection Interrupted?

In games like counter strike source, quake live, etc. i continuously get lag spikes. Every 2 minutes or so i freeze up online for about 3-5 seconds. i know its not my internet, xbox live runs fine. I run on a wireless adapter, could this be it?
