Should I bother doing the CSC (canadian securities course)?

I don't think it will be hard because I have a fair amount of informal financial experience. I am in my first year of Business at university and the only reason that I would do the course is because i think the CSC would help me get a better finance co-op. So is it worth it to do the CSC to get a better finance co-op?
